I don't think you can become rich off crypto, but it is a fun way to get some small coin. If you have an account in youhodler or similar for example you can get paid off interest in stable coin.

For me it is not the future but it is good way to make some small cash next to your main job because it enables regular people to participate in decentralized services. It is also better to hodl stablecoin than in a bank because the interest rate is higher.
